Trusted by container owners for 7 years. AdaptAIR™ has been used in thousands of shipping container roof vent installs by DIY customers, builders, farms, shops, storage owners, and container modification companies who need a clean way to add ventilation — without welding or fabricating a custom roof mount.

Install a full-size 12" roof vent on your container

Standard turbine, solar, and static roof vents need a stable mounting surface. AdaptAIR creates the missing platform so you can install a 12-inch collar vent on a corrugated Conex / shipping container roof.

Why containers need real roof ventilation

Shipping containers trap heat and moisture. Without a proper airflow path, that trapped air can contribute to:

  • Extreme interior heat
  • Condensation and “container rain”
  • Musty odors and stale air
  • Rust risk and moisture damage to stored items

AdaptAIR gives you a container-specific, no-weld way to mount roof exhaust where it belongs — on the roof.

What’s included

  • One (1) AdaptAIR™ vent adapter for standard 3.5" corrugation
  • Complete installation kit: drill bits, driver bit, screws, abrasive pad
  • Step-by-step photo instructions

Not included

  • 12" vent / turbine — sold separately (fits most 12" collar vents, including Whirlybird-style turbines, solar, and static vents)
  • Adhesive / sealant — use a professional-grade structural adhesive for metal

Want everything in one box? Shop our complete 20' roof vent system or 40' roof vent system — adapter, turbine, intake vents, and install kit included.

Important fit note

Fits standard 3.5" shipping container roof corrugation only. Measure between the raised and lower rib pattern before you order.

  • Not designed for 3", 5.5", or 6.5" ribs
  • Not intended for sidewall installation

Please check the measurement chart before ordering.

How many do you need?

  • 20' container — we recommend one (1) AdaptAIR roof vent
  • 40' container — we recommend two (2) AdaptAIR roof vents

Complete the airflow path

A roof turbine exhausts hot, moist air. For air to move efficiently, fresh air also needs a way in. Sidewall intake vents create dedicated entry points so the system isn’t pulling only through door gaps.

For best results, pair AdaptAIR + a 12" turbine with intake vents — or choose a complete 20' / 40' package where intakes are already included.

No-weld DIY installation

Installs with the included screws and a professional-grade structural adhesive for metal. We recommend Chem Link M-1.

  • Do not use standard silicone caulk
  • Do not use latex caulk or roof cement
  • Do not use sealants not intended for exterior metal roofing and flashing
