How ContainerREADY™ works
ContainerREADY™ is a purpose-built, patent-pending no-weld system for fitting a real residential exterior door into corrugated shipping-container steel. Installing a residential door in a container is different from a framed house wall — the steel corrugation, jamb support, and hinge side all have to be handled correctly without turning the job into welding or custom metal fabrication.
A routed upper header/corrugation component matches the container profile and forms the top of the finished opening. Jamb-extension and wood framing components create a residential-style opening that supports a standard prehung door. Interior backing and reinforcement clamp and support the container skin so the finished opening stays solid and ready to seal.
Together, those parts replace the need to fabricate and weld a conventional steel door frame. You assemble the prepared components, cut the container opening, set the prehung door, fasten the system, seal it, and finish it — a coordinated ContainerREADY™ method instead of a one-off industrial retrofit.

What jamb size does it use?
4-9/16" jamb.
Do I need brickmould?
No. ContainerREADY does not use factory brickmould. Remove removable brickmould before installation.
Left-hand or right-hand?
Stand outside the container facing the door. Hinges on the left = LEFT-HAND. Hinges on the right = RIGHT-HAND. The same ContainerREADY kit works either way.
Can I use an outswing or unusual door?
Possibly. Frame and threshold dimensions can vary. Send us the link before cutting and we’ll confirm it.
Do I need to weld?
No. ContainerREADY™ is a no-weld door installation system for shipping containers.
Do I need to rip lumber?
No. The system is designed for standard, readily available lumber — no ripping required.
When should I cut the container?
After you have confirmed the exact door’s listed actual unit dimensions — and ideally have the door in hand or on order. Do not cut from a guess.
